Coincidence or God-incidence?

Do you ever have a thought just pop into your head all the sudden like I wonder how so and so is doing? I should probably give them a call, or send them an email. Or you see something on TV or hear a song that makes you instantly think of someone special, so you try to get a hold of them right away. Or something happens in your life one day and you have to share that with someone you love so you pick up the phone and call and they say," it's funny that you called, I was just thinking about you." Next thing you know they are sharing a part of their life with you and you begin to feel that it was a good thing that you called them after all.

Many would say, oh - that's just a coincidence that you did something just when someone else needed you and you didn't even know about it. I say there are no coincidences in life, only God incidences. I believe it is our Lord, our Creator, who puts every thought we have into our heads. He knows who is going to need help and he sends his guardian angels at just the right time. He creates God-incidences that often seem to amaze us. But really when you really stop and think about it, why should they?

Jesus is the great orchestra leader of life. He knows all the high notes and low notes and all the notes in between. Only He knows everything that is going on, all the time, everyday, every second, everywhere around the world, by everyone. He hears the prayers of every single one of us, each day and each hour. He is calling his people to forget about their own selfish needs, and reach out! The Great Commission is about spreading the word of Jesus Christ. To do that, we need to be like him. He wants us to be his hands and feet to this hurting world we live in. The only way many people will ever see Jesus, might be through some kind word or action that you do right now, right here, TODAY!

God knows those who are suffering and in need. He knows those who are willing to lend a hand to those who need it most. I think to be able to be one of God's angels, and if you want the Lord to be able to use you to help hurting people around you and in your life, you need to be still. You need to be quiet. But that's often hard for us to do.

To listen to the Lord, you need to spend time with him: Worshiping Him, studying his word, Praising him and seeking his face. I'm not talking about once a week at church. I'm talking about everyday, spending quiet time seeking the Lord, and asking Him to guide you and use you. So, I challenge you to try it for 6 months. It doesn't have to be an hour, it can be just 10 or15 minutes, but just totally concentrate on God and his will for one tiny portion of your day. Turn off the TV for a change. Instead, read some Bible verses. Get a daily devotional and start following along each day. Sing a favorite hymn, change your radio station to Christian music. Pray for those you love, pray for the Lord to use you to Glorify Him. Then stand back and watch him work. Because he will, guaranteed! It might not be immediate, but it will happen, in his perfect time.

We live in a very fast paced world, and it seems harder and harder to carve out time in each day for everything we need to get accomplished. Most of us are being pulled in a thousand different directions. But I believe that as believers of Jesus Christ, it is essential for us to spend some time before our God. To be still before him. You can't hear his call, if you won't slow down long enough to listen to his voice.

Are you seeking to make a change in your life or make an impact in the lives of others that you love? Ask Jesus to be your helper. Spend some time with the Creator of the Universe. He won't disappoint you.

My verse for today is from Psalm 46:10

"Be still and know that I am God."

My prayer for today:

Lord Jesus,

Help me to be still before you Lord so you can talk to me, so you can reach out to me, so you can teach me.
I want to serve only you Jesus. Give me the strength to resist the "busyness" of life to spend time with you. Thank you for this restful vacation time with my husband and son. Thank you for this beautiful sanctuary you have bestowed upon us. Help me to always seek your face as your child, as a wife and as a mother, in all things I do.

In Jesus Name I pray,
Amen and Amen

Our God always has perfect timing...

Yesterday, my son came home from jail and he is a totally new man! Gone is the old, and in is the new! We are so thankful to the Lord for His graciousness, love, goodness and answering of so many of our prayers. We have been overwhelmed these past few weeks with God's abundant blessings and new miracles everyday.

I am seeing my son again, my Jordy, the one that I love so much, for the first time in a long time. When he got home yesterday the first thing he wanted to do was pray with my husband and I, so together, with his leading we began to all thank God for his mercy and forgiveness. Last night, he came our bedroom, and wanted to read verses together, which we did for over an hour.

I could have never imagined how wonderful the transformation would be, but why shouldn't I? Our God can do amazing things. What a wonderful witness for Jesus my young son is now. He unashamedly told everyone of his friends he talked to today about his new life, and I heard him tell each person over and over again how thankful he was for the Lord's forgiveness and how blessed he was that God had so much patience with him. Wow - talk about some answered prayers. All I can say is thank you Jesus for saving our son, and bringing him back to us! The transformation is so totally beyond our wildest dreams or expectations, we know it can only be of God, and we will always be forever grateful. Jordy is literally a new creation in Christ!

My health continues to improve each day and I am Praising and thanking Jehovah Rapha, my Healer! My physical therapy has begun, and of course I overdid it, and was down for a day, but I'm back up now and stronger than ever. Each day I feel more strength coming into my body. My balance is getting better and legs are getting stronger too, but the main thing I have been so amazed at it my energy level! Before I had the procedure I could last 2-3 hours max. Now I'm good for 7-8 hours. My mind is so much sharper, and I'm so much more interested in life. It's like the old me!! Thank you God. I have alot of work to do to get myself stronger, but with the Lord's help, I will get there, with no problem.

So, that's it from the Watts house for now. Some pretty exciting things going on here. We are rejoicing and thanking God for everything that has happened these past few months, because we know it all comes from the Lord; our provider, our redeemer, our healer. Thank you Jesus.

My verse for today is one that Jordy says is one of his favorites:

1 Timothy 1:15-16

"Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners--of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life."

My prayer for today:

Heavenly Father, Jesus my Lord:

Thank you for the abundance of blessings you have bestowed on my family these past few weeks. Lord, you always answer our prayers, in your perfect time. Our job is to trust and obey. Thank you for answering so many prayers offered up on behalf of our son. There have been so many people praying for Jordy, asking God to turn his life around and now Jesus, in your perfect timing you have done just that. There have been many people praying for my healing these past 12 1/2 years, and now in your perfect timing, the healing has begun. Let us never forget your mercy and grace and the way we feel right now - the thankful hearts that we have -- help us to always be thankful to you in all things, always.

In Jesus Name I pray,
Amen

To God be the Glory...great things He hath done :D

Today I am 8 days post CCSVI Liberation Procedure and I cannot tell you how thrilled I am at my overall progress! All Glory, Praise and Honor goes to my Creator, my Savior, my friend, my hero: Jesus Christ

I cannot believe the incredible healing that has taken place in my body in such a short amount of time. After so many years of such suffering, I am excited about life and wake up with a BIG SMILE on my face each day. I don't have to endure the tremendous pain, and fatigue that have been my constant companion these past 12 1/2 years. I can wake up knowing that I will have the energy to do something simple like take a shower, and not have it wipe me out for the day. And I can take a shower standing up! Yippee! And I can put my own shoes on, another Yippee! Thank you Jesus :)

I can go out with friends and enjoy a casual dinner, without paying for it the next 2 or 3 days. I can do some inconsequential things around the house like laundry, or washing the dishes, or just picking up clothes and putting them away, in one day - not in three days!

These may seem like mundane tasks to you, but tasks like this would take me hours and hours, and often, I would have to space them out like this: my goal today is unloading the dishwasher and cleaning up the kitchen and then I'll lay down for a couple of hours. I'll take a shower and then that's it for the day. Tomorrow, my goal is to fold those 3 loads of laundry and put them away. Whoppee! Then the next day, my goal was to hang up my husband clean shirts and pants. And so on and so on.

I would go on the computer for an hour or so, but would have to lay down because my head was pounding and my neuropathic pain all over my body was so intense, especially in my legs I just couldn't sit there for one more minute. These blog posts I was doing, were literally taking me days to do each one. I enjoyed doing them, but never could I do them in one day, or I would pay for it, for days and days. I was determined to do them, because I knew that God was going to be honored, somehow and someway.

This has been my life, especially over the last 3 years, as MS has taken over my life. It has been a drag, but I think I got used to it and figured, this was my lot in life, so I was going to have to make the best of it. I've always been a glass is half full kinda girl, and I wasn't going to let MS beat me-- no way!I was determined to look up in the midst of my suffering, knowing that God, in His time would deliver me.

Then, along comes a simple 90 minute angioplasty surgery called CCSVI. It's only been 8 days since my surgery, but now have the energy and the cognitive power abilities to dream about the future! Can I possibly drive again? Or maybe go back to work part time? Or help other people fulfill their dreams! Be able to enjoy with my family and possible future grandchildren. My head is bursting with the possibilities that are set before me. It has almost been too much for me to take in in such a short amount of time, but I am taking it in, and I am claiming it and I am thanking the Lord for everything!

I can look forward to and plan events for the first time in a long time, knowing I will have the energy to actually accomplish them. It's like God has opened up the world for me, after so much time. I feel like a butterfly coming out of a cocoon. Ready to spread my wings and fly for the Lord!

This is such an answered prayer, friends. I have had so many people, friends and family, praying for my healing for many, many years and God has answered those prayers! He is Faithful :) I know there is still lot of work to do on my part. I know I have much physical therapy to be done, to bring me back to full strength.I know I will have down times, cause I still have MS. But I have hope now, God has begun my healing and the possibilities are endless :)

Please Lord, continue your healing, so I can bring Glory and Honor to you, my Healer and my Lord, Jesus. Thank you to everyone who has been praying for me these past years. Thank you for hanging on, thank you for not giving up, thank you for believing and knowing that in His time, God was going to heal me, and He has!! All Praise goes to Him! I have claimed my miracle and it has come true! Thank you Jesus!

My verse for today is one of my favorites from Psalm 91:14-16

"Because he loves me, says the Lord, I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation."

My prayer for today:

Holy Lord, Jesus my Savior,

Thank you for this blessed healing. Thank you for answering my prayers and the prayers of many. Lord, give me the strength and courage I need each day to move forward with this new life you have bestowed upon me. Help me to look to you each new day as I always do, for your strength. Help me to proclaim your name to the mountain tops O Lord, my redeemer and my salvation.

In Jesus Name I pray,
Amen
